Maternal and Child Health

Priority Area Data Dashboard

The well-being of women, infants, children and families determines the health of the next generation. Events over the life course influence maternal and child health risks and outcomes. Differences in health outcomes such as infant mortality, by race and ethnicity, can predict future public health challenges for families, communities and the health care system.

Maternal and Child Health

Priority Area Goals and Performance

The Maternal and Child Health (MCH) priority area contains four overarching goals with specific objectives developed for each goal. The goals for the MCH priority area are:

  2. Reduce infant morbidity and mortality.

  3. Reduce maternal morbidity and mortality.

  4. Improve preconception and inter-conception health.

The Indicator Performance bar chart presents a detailed view of progress across this specific Priority Area, with individual bars divided into segments that show the proportion of indicators within the Priority Area.
