Florida State Health Improvement Plan, Mental Well-being and Substance Abuse Prevention – Goal 2 Meeting

Good afternoon Workgroup Members,

I hope this message finds you well. I am pleased to inform you that the meeting for Goal MW 2: Reduce the impact of pediatric mental, emotional, and behavioral health disorders has been scheduled.

Date: Friday, November 1, 2024

Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Goal MW 2 Focus:

Objective MW2.1: Decrease the number of children aged 17 years and younger with involuntary examinations (Baker Act).

Objective MW2.2: Reduce the percentage of students who feel sad or hopeless for over two or more weeks and stopped doing usual activities.

Objective MW2.3: Increase the percentage of children aged 3 to 17 years with a mental/behavioral condition who receive treatment or counseling.
